Carlos Ángel Valdés Carbonell is a powerhouse Cuban vocalist and multi-talented performer, widely recognised for reaching the Grand Final of La Voz España 2021 as a standout member of Team Luis Fonsi. His emotionally charged performances and versatile vocal range earned him national acclaim, including a duet in the final with superstar Manuel Carrasco, cementing his reputation as one of Cuba’s most compelling vocal exports.

Classically trained in guitar, double bass, and sound engineering, Carlos studied at Cuba’s top institutions, including the National School of Arts and the University of the Arts (ISA). His artistic journey spans musical theatre, jazz, choral music, and contemporary Latin fusion. He has performed in major productions such as Rent (Cuba’s first Broadway show since the revolution), The Lion King, Soy de Cuba, and worked with Cirque Fantastic, a company founded by original Cirque du Soleil creators.

Carlos has shared the stage or recorded with artists such as Luis Fonsi, Pablo Milanés, David Bisbal, MORAT, Manuel Carrasco, Antonio Orozco, and Leoni Torres, among others. He has also been featured in top festivals and projects like Lío Ibiza, The Kennedy Center Benefit Gala, and the Jazz and Tradition Orchestra, made up of Grammy-winning Cuban musicians.
